So I got some basic research done but I wanted to find out more. Who better to ask than the consultants themselves. Now of course I didn't expect any of them to say anything bad but I was hoping to get a feel for the company based on how they answered my questions.
Everyone I emailed with was very nice. I didn't feel like they were just trying to recruit me but were genuinely trying to be helpful.
I started with the basic question on "what do you like most about Thirty One"? Many answered "the products" (which I can easily see from the catalog) but also "the support". After working with 2 different direct sales companies, I've learned how important support from the main office can be. Already I have seen first hand the wonderful support from my soon-to-be teammates. They have been sending emails daily...which I love. I feel really connected with the company and I haven't even signed up yet. There is also a magazine, National Convention, regional meetings and a "Start Swell" programs which encourages new consultants to get started on the right foot (and are rewarded with terrific prizes).
I have seen there are lots of incentives offered for the customers, hostesses and consultants that changed frequently. The best consultant incentive that I have seen so far is a trip to Disney World. The best part is that all of it seems attainable!
Since it is a fairly new company, I was wondering how many consultants there were so far. The answers I have found were around 1500/2000. The best part is that there is only 1 in my state of New Hampshire. Lots of room to grow.
Well, so far I'm very impressed. I won't be able to sign up until after April 15. My husband is an accountant so I'm home with the kids most nights while he works late. So for now, I'm still looking into the company, meeting people and scheduling parties for when I'm ready. I even just ordered my first Thirty One bag. I can't wait for it to arrive!!!
